Landon’s miracle

In November of 2017, 10-year-old Landon Solberg of West Fargo received a terrifying diagnosis: He had an aggressive brain tumor with a life expectancy of two years. Many people and organizations rallied around Landon and his family. Landon rallied around his faith in Christ. In the midst of ongoing treatment and surgeries, he read his Bible every night, volunteered at Prairie Heights Community Church, and remained calm and steady building memories with his family and friends. Family members, teachers, fellow students, pastors, other church volunteers and thousands of people near and far were inspired.

Landon’s light

I recently witnessed 1,800 people come together in Scheels Arena to celebrate Landon Solberg’s life and light. Landon was a 12-year-old boy from West Fargo who died Sept 17 following a courageous battle with an aggressive brain tumor. His story was heartwarming, inspiring and heart-breaking; all three qualities and emotions on so many levels. Through several miraculous acts of God, including the love and support of thousands of people, Landon’s story went around the world.

How you do anything

In 2011, I jumped on the opportunity to become a founding member of the John Maxwell Team. My goal was to grow as a leader and get better as a public speaker. Not only did I grow in these two areas, I gained so many other benefits. One of them was an opportunity to continuously learn from gifted mentors.
