Will you listen?

I have a simple philosophy regarding making mistakes: if you are committed to personal and organizational growth, attempting to offer your best, willing to take risks and stretching beyond your comfort zone, you will make mistakes. If you haven’t made a mistake lately I would contend that you are playing it safe and settling for average. Who wants to live that way for very long?

Questions can unlock your future

I used to think that a great teacher always had great answers. Now I realize that a great teacher is someone who asks great questions. The right question at the right time makes all the difference in helping people grow.

I used to think as a leader I had to have all the answers. Now I realize my job as a leader is to ask great questions. Management expert Peter Drucker said, “My greatest strength as a consultant is to be ignorant and ask a few questions.” The right question at the right time makes all the difference in helping an organization make progress.

Is there something more to life?

Most people, at different points in their life, wonder “Is there a purpose for my life? Does my today lead to anything different tomorrow? Or is life simply a treadmill of activity sprinkled with joyful memories, some regrets and then life ends?”
