Leadership roundtables

I am super blessed to participate in a book club and leadership roundtable led by Dr. Faith Ngunjiri, the director of the Lorentzsen Center at Concordia College, and Dr. Paul Dovre, Concordia College president emeritus. I am thankful for these two gifted leaders and each member of the group. Each of them bring a wonderful insight, perspective and wisdom I learn from and grow forward with.

Working on my laptop is typically not possible due to lack of room. However, the airplane seat next to me is empty so I will give this a try.

What every leader must do

I try to limit the items I obsess over. I think that is wise and increases the potential for a more rewarding, higher impact life. It is rarely helpful to major on the minor or be consumed with the common. One of satan’s greatest tactics to limit our positive impact is to distract us with the ordinary while missing out on the extraordinary.

Going forward through failure

Failure is not to be feared, but the dangers of failing are that we believe we are failures or we allow failure to be the final chapter. Both of these scenarios are absolutely tragic. So, how do we grow forward through failure?

Growing Forward In New Year

Every day we take small steps. A day without growth is a wasted opportunity. A few consecutive days without growth is a disappointment. A year absent positive growth is a tragedy.
